Admitted Student Experience

Time to finalize your college plans! This experience is for students (and parents) who haven’t visited campus or simply need another look before making that final college decision. At this event you can:

  • Talk to a professor in your major
  • Review your freshman course plans with one-on-one guidance
  • Take a tour of campus and freshman residence halls

Sample Schedule

  • 8:30 a.m. Check-in takes place in the Ferrell Academic Center, first floor.
  • 8:45 a.m. Welcome remarks from Peter A. Helgesen, Dean of Enrollment Management, and Stephen D. Minnis, President of the College
  • 9:00 – 9:50 a.m. Small group walking tour of campus with Benedictine students
  • 10:00-10:50 a.m. Attend a class
  • 11:00-11:50 a.m. Financial aid in relation to the new FAFSA
  • 12:00-1:30 p.m. Lunch with current students
  • 12:10-12:45 p.m. Mass (optional)
  • 1:30-2:00 p.m. Residence Hall viewings
  • 2:00-2:50 p.m. Community, Faith, and Scholarship Presentation
  • 3:00-3:50 p.m. Academic Interest Sessions. (Professor availability is based on schedules and not all areas may be represented)
  • 3:00-4:30 p.m. Closing Reception

Transportation

Benedictine College personnel will arrange transportation at no cost to prospective students traveling without a parent or guardian to and from Kansas City International Airport. Prospective students traveling with a parent or guardian are expected to secure their own transportation to and from Kansas City International Airport.
